Is the end cap held on by rivets, I'm pretty sure they are on Vipers?

yer they are riveted, i think its 5 rivets at each end of them

Tis easy then , you will need a rivet gun a drill a decent saw and a bit of patience!

1) mark out a line on each exhaust where the cut will be
2)drill out the rivets on each can and remove the end section
3)remove any packing inside the cans
4)proceed to cut each can to the required length
5)then mark out where the rivets need to go to attach the ends again and drill these holes
6)re-pack each exhaust
7)replace each end cap
8)rivet each end cap back on as tightly as possible

Then just fit them back on and job done!!

That'll be a straight forward job then.......id offer to do it, but im dead lazy and it'd take at least a year for you to get em back.

I was supposed to do a painting for me mum for the front room.......that was about 2 and a bit years ago!!:grin2

Dude, pop rivet guns are fool proof!!!

Not too expensive either, (if you cant find someone to lend you one)

I have two of them, and a rivet gun, and some pedestall drills, a guilotene, various folding machines, mig welders, tig welders, plasma and oxy cutting gear, some machines that put flanges on ducting, a few ................

..............D'oh......you get the idea.
