My bikes clutch is slipping, you can release the clutch fully & take your hand off it and the bike will slowly roll forward and rev itself rather than die as its supposed to:shooter

Also when your riding you'll be crusing along at 50mph at lets say 50,000rpm when the revs will get louder, but it wont pick up speed?

Now for metal & friction plates and springs ive managed to get the lowest price of 80 quid including postage from 2 separate sources.
Ebay: EBC Friction Plate set (Gear4Bikes.com)
Wemoto: Steel Plate (x6)
EBC Heavy Duty Spring Set

Any other places to try??? ive checked LM Spares and they want 100 quid for the lot...:shooter

However before i fork out the money for those, is there anything i can try to see if i can remedy it without having to shell out loadsa money on stuff i may not need??:shooter

Thanks

Its been nicknamed Godzilla... slow, but with a mighty roar.

It shouldn't be at 50,000rpm obviously but the clutch has really fooked the acceleration up...:shooter

Have you tried adjusting the cluch at the lever end?

This will normally sort the problem out. If not you can take up the slack and adjust the bite at the engine end. worth trying this before shelling out on new friction, steels and springs. Besides, you wont need the heavy duty ones (and in all fairness, theyd be unsuitable for yours anyway), It doesnt mean they'll last any longer, it'll make your clutch action a bit stiffer and the take up will be a bit more agressive.

Is the lever smooth and easy to pull in because if it's not (compare it to a newer cable operated clutch on someone elses bike) then a sticking cable can give the same symptoms as a slipping clutch.

I had a mate with a Z650 with slipping clutch and he bought all the clutch plates and springs for it. I took his cable off to start the clutch repair and half a ton of crap fell out of it. We oiled and refitted the cable and the clutch was perfect, he sent the bits back and got a refund.
