m8s got one of these babys its a import its a 1995 M Reg red and white with nsr in letters down the back side pannels do these have sum sort of ypvs servo kit coz its damn quick for a standard bike enyone know about em ??
YPVS = Yamaha Power Valve System.
Most other makes have their own type of system.
Its all about a system that reduced exhaust port size at low revs so that the engine runs better.
At higher revs the valve opens and the exhaust port becomes bigger giving an increase in high rev power.
this can be done by a rotating valve (yamaha) or other types such as Knife edge (suzuki)
I would have though Honda NSR would have some sort too. If not the exhaust port wil be big for maximum power at high revs but lower rev performance will be poor.
Hope this explains enough.
Mark.

typical case of lack of experiance that is thrash the bike b4 ur used to it! for once i can say im not like that i usually make sure im comfortable on the bike get used to it then i thrash it! :) unless the engine needs running in! then its slow and steady and sensible (tottaly not my style but needs to be done)
