Dont let it put you off the site, i think in fairness this is purely a case of jumping the gun slightly by young 2E, thats not to devalue what he has said, it could have been said more diplomatically ;)
However i personnally dont have a problem with this post at all because its not a case of you coming on here and selling which is the normal reason for people getting the hump so to speak with new users, the type that join, advertise and then sod off :)
As has been mentioned, please introduce yourself in the hello section (its lets people know you are real :D ) and i am sure you will find the members on here quite sociable :)
Anyway welcome :)

it wasnt a personal remark just a remark... there was an idea mentioned that the first post should be made to be only in the 'Hello' section no matter how much you intended on doing it anyway.:grin2
Fact of the matter is, we get lots of people who go through all the hassle of signing up, to either
1. Spam the site
2. Advertise one thing then bugger off
3. come on to post unnecessary comments then bugger off:grin1
and as for the ducati and honda, yes that is standard practice to introduce yourself and what you ride around here:D
As a side note i always wanted a FS1E (Was the FS1e the one with pedals or the FS1M or both?).
Here you go Jay.....................

And as for 2E's remarks I totally understand where he was coming from (and I think you will when you have been here a while) but it could have been done more tactfully

thats the 1 but without the pedals - Both Lovely looking bikes - his 1 was the reddy colour 1
thats a nice ss50 mate . would that be the 5 speed version ??
Weren't the SS's 4 strokes? Damn my memory's crap :grin2
My old FS1E was a footpeg model 1980 V in Metallic blue I had it from new. My best mate at the time had the earlier 1977 model with the pedals the same as yours.
Although from memory the bike of choice was the Suzuki AP50 they were easier to tune and were faster standard.
As far as the pipe on the FS1E's are concerned don't get a Micron they were ****e the allspeed was a much better sound, looked better and improved whatever power there was :grin3

Haven't a clue..........I googled it for the photo :grin2
Weren't the SS's 4 strokes?
Yes I believe they were
yes they where for strokes ,they never really compepted with the fs1e,s on speed or sales so prior to the end of the sixteener law /restriction Honda made a 5 speed model nice bike and thats a great little engine ,go on for ever and you tune tune them up to death :grin2
