2 new East London digital Gatsos have gone live!

On my to Southend yesterday I happened across two new digital Gatsos in operation on Aspen Way (A1261) at Billingsgate Market.
They are located in both the east and westbound directions between the Limehouse Tunnel and the Cotton Avenue flyover to the east.

There are now cameras in the southbound Blackwall Tunnel. Don't know if they're live yet, but they are definitely intended for speed enforcement.

I did notice the lines on the road last few nights on that strech of road. Didnt know they were now live and working. Then again didnt think that stretch of road gets busy enough to have cameras on it. Once you come out of Aspen way tunnel its stop start all the way to the next tunnel.

Might have passed each other over the last few weeks as I use to use it until Monday morning.

This included the 30mph speed limit in Limehouse Link tunnel. It's there because of the curve in the tunnel, sight distances and stopping distances apparently.

Anyway, guess who the first ever person to be nicked for exceeding the speed limit in the tunnel was. Yup, himself!:grin1
