I am looking at getting lessons to drive a box on four wheels (aka car) in the chelmsford area. Anyone have any recommendations as the two I've already tried couldn't be arsed to call me back! Cheaper the better ;) Contact details would be helpful too :grin2

i used a company called newlands, back then they were new and very small company they were way cheaper than the others and were great. that was 7 years ago tho and i would expet things have probably changed now

Hi murray
my daughter is using a guy called Mutlow.
he was reccommended by her friends, and seems very good, and reasonable.
He does 1st 3 lessons for £10 each, then £19 for students, or if you have 10 lessons. otherwise £20.

Hi Murray, I will be taking my driving lessons soon. Ive decided to go with a company called Wallace Driving School. 01376 501044. They are based in witham but will most probly cover chelmsford too.

£18 per hour
I will be doing an Intensive course with them - 30 hours for £588 including test fee. Cheapest ive found, And i spent hours on the phone to different companies.

does this include standing on a ladder in a side car, chasing sheep and snack stops for wensledale?

cheers for the help guys, however one I had already contacted just called so im all sorted now. I thought about an intensive course, but don't think I could afford paying it all in one lump sum!

i would have said my mum as shes a driving instructor but not anymore, so now i would say Ann Nason, superb instructor mums friend and done a couple mock tests on me shes **** hot
