I'm afraid that today I had an accident, not on the bike fortunately, though it has made it so I can not/not supposed to ride my bike for 7-10 days.:(

What Happened:

I was helping my step-brother and step-dad load a glass table and chairs into our landrover, we finished loading but the door with the only availiable seat doesen't open (its ****e) so i get told to climb over the front passenger seat... halfway over the glass table falls or breaks under weight and shatters.. i fall and twist in mid air instinctively (got to protect the jewels) and end up with a rather large shard of glass sticking deeply in my lower spine:(

Shoved a bandage and first aid on it and went to rush to the nearest hospital, to find it unmanned, waiting room crammed, nobody at reception, so have to rush back home..:shooter

2 Hours later... after fighting through m25 traffic and im up the minor injuries, then to basildon A & E for X-Rays and stitches..

Many hours later, with the wound STILL bleeding profously, ive finally got three big stitches in the wound and a very sore back..

So for blatant reasons, Im banned from riding... so im afraid im unable to make it to the Southend Shakedown..:( At least not with the GT anyway

I reckon you see the weather forecast, wimped out, but too scared to tell us because of fears of being mocked, so either (a) threw yourself onto the said glass on purpose or (b) found this picture via google to use as evidence to back up your story.

Great theory, but your talking to 2E, i ride through all weathers including snow on a CB100.. weather is NOT a problem:D

And if i was going to find a picture i'd get one much better than that..:D

I didnt mean it like that though, i meant if all was well (they suspected 7-10 days) but felt good enough ill leave the gauze don the gear and test ride.. after all, my bikes not that much of a 'leant over' ride.:grin2

I swear to god 2E, with your luck i would be too scared to go for a **** in the morning for fear of something falling off! :D

Honestly its just as well you never joined the Military, no-one would want to be within 1000m of you if they went into combat :D

Hope the inuries heal okay though, but i would listen to Dawn and stay off the bike for a bit to give yourself at least some recovery time,

oh and to give your unlucky meter a chance to replenish :D

Theres two reasons i didnt post up pictures of the wound

1) I wasn't going to remove the dressing purely for your entertainment as it hurt like bloody hell.:shooter

2) The wound starts at the lower spine and is a traingular/L-sharpe almost and frankly.. i dont fancy shoving pictures of my ass across the whole of essex bikers.:reading


Oh and put it this way, its directly opposite the jewells, so had i not turnt around, you'd be speaking to Ms 2e and probably cringing had i posted up pics of that wound ;)

No, the killer is that we never really wanted the glass table anyway, we were after the chairs but won the set on ebay so thought well.. if its offered..:shooter:laugh1
