Ford is selling Jaguar and Land Rover to The Indian firm of Tata today. Over the next few years much of the production, undoubtedly will be switched to the Indian subcontinent where wages are a mere fraction of what they are here, not that it makes a difference as both Jaguar and Land Rover are perceived to be luxury brands and that perception of luxury, IMO just went out of the foocin window…

Jaguar and Land Rover lost their 'luxury' brand status when they were taken over in the first place, and in Jaguar's case when Ford started using the floor plan from the Mondeo (as i recall) for their XKR ;)

Its a sign of the times, can't really say its crept up on us nor can i say i am surprised by it, sad really, especially when we are able to entice so many migrant workers here in return due to higher wages but there you have it.
