This is going to be Great!! (De-restricting advice)
My mate has just bought a Peugeot speed fighter PED and I’m getting his C90  so when we want a change from the big bikes we can go off and thrash the little ones. This is going to be so funny!! (like being kids again) Anyway I need some advice on derestricting the speedfighter as he thinks I have an unfair advantage.
There must be other mad gizas out there that have done stupid things like this as well or are we alone!!
Can anyone point me to a website that details how to do it or can tell me how to do it? :)
Please help us derestrict that PED….
:?:
You need to take out some nylon washers fron the gearbox system that will help the bike reach a better top speed.
You will also have to chop off and re-weld a resonant pipe on the exhaust.
you then might have to chnge the jets.
There could also be a restriction in the carb inlet or exhaust port outlet but you will see this when you change the jets and have the exhaust off.

why not do some porting on the barrel?? grab yaself a dremel.
u could measure the squish and reduce the thickness of the base gasket if theres a bit of room to spare, for increased compression and more bang per spark...
airbox mods?? hard to do without using a dyno and gas analyser. see just how rich the fuelling is by checking the spark plug, u might be able to jet down a size or 2 which will increase the bhp.

I don't know how much cash you are prepared to put into this, but I would thibnk you could axchieve a lot with tyres on that sort of bike, the standard tyres, are probably, near dangerous. A few pounds spent on some second hand tyres might make it go round corners, at least a bit better.

i take it by now you have allready done it,but its well easy, you dont have to Jet it or anything........or is that why my one went bang?Just chop off and weld the pipe restrictor at the start of exhaust. take clutch panel off, take off big round mettle thingy(that the belt is attached to) there will be a small ring/washer take this out, now put back together. these are the only restrictors in the Peugeot speed fightand the babey should now go 55-60 mph depending on weight lol. but be carefull cause the single Arm front suspension may look trick/nice but is a pile of **** and lasts like 3 months, then cornering goes!lol hope this kinda helped.and how is that ickle mission of peds going now anyway? me and me mate Rob (FasterThanU) are gonna get some mini moto crossers and hoon then around his streets.he lives in a place called Earls Colne which is like in the country side in the middle of no ware.will be sweet, were gonna get all our friends hooked so they get em, then were gonna have races n stuff. should be sweet! :D
Ah, I miss my BiWizz! :(
Was so much fun for a little twist and go! Used to struggle to keep the front end down!!! (Even two up)! :D did a fair bit to that! And if anyone's seen "How to Pull Wheelies and Ifnluence People" (think it might be part2) then ul see what those little bikes are capable of in the hadns of Shakey Byrne!!! LOL!!! Wheelied one all the way from the hotel to the restaurant in France! But man I miss it, all that effort with clutch and gears...! Man I am lazy! Ah, but I'd soon get bored I suppose!
Oh, as for tuning... big-bore kit all the way!!! get an aftermarket exhaust too. Uprated clutch springs (and u can mess about with different weights too). The big spring that goes behind the clutch (this is all assuming it's got a centripetal clutch...?) Get an uprated one of them with a greater spring constant (stiffer)! oh, and a better drive belt is advisable! oh, and get a carbon reed petal valvey thing. and that should be that! don't know much about the C90 mind, this is all assuming that it has the similar workings to a normal ped, which the speedfight should have. Good luck!
how easy is the welding to do on the front of the exhaust doobery...? I'm not great, mind u, if my pops does it... just thinking about doing it for my mate, that's all! (At a small cost of course)!
