Here we are then - all clothes on, lovingly restored by rembrandt/Dave - thank you so much, the paint job is just gorgeous :cuddle

now i just need to get hold of some yellow vinyl and some numbers, and some seat foam and a couple of random bolts, and i'm ready. oh and i need to pop my rear brake back on!

i also need some balls :grin2

Mallory on 30th March was the first race of the season for Desmodue but I am not a big fan of the place and am hardly a championship front runner (plus we can drop 2 rounds from our final points anyway) so wasnt going to subject myself to a circuit i can't stand for my first race since my little crash at cadwell....

I did a trackday there in early March which was enough to get rid of some of the demons, but I think i only enjoyed it because i knew i wouldnt be racing there! :laugh1

On the plus side, the hairpin is much lighter now they have removed (to quote Mark from No Limits) "every scrap of vegetation in the immediate vicinity" - however they have also removed the handy braking marker tree, and the mud goes everywhere!

So. Thursday night i shall be heading up the M6 ready for a bit of a trackday at Oulton on Friday. the lovely Lily is going to take me round in the morning and show me some lines and more crucially the best places to overtake.

This is the bit i am most nervous about - passing, as my head is telling me it's best not to risk it, but my right wrist is telling me i can get round coz i'm faster! And obviously, passing people is kind of quite important when racing...

I am also nervous in case I don't get to pass anyone, like if i'm too slow :laugh1 ah well, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Wish me luck everyone!

Now it must be obvious that I'm not a big fan of sports bikes but god that could turn me to the other side. That just looks so purposeful!!:love3

Or go slippy slider hardcore and bareback it ;)

nahhh, it's too slippy and i can't actually reach the handlebars at the mo :laugh1 never thought i'd be making the seat height higher :grin2

thanks guys - yes it's a GSXR tail unit, the idea is that i sit lower on the bike now (actually right on the subframe) so i have been able to raise the rear of the bike so i shouldnt deck out so much, but can still get a handy toe down for paddling round the collecting area etc.

Alex at Parkinsons had the lovely job of making it fit :clap

and people wonder why my clothes come from Tesco's hahahaha :laugh1

becky i hope to be racing next year but it's unlikely to be Desmodue. not sure what yet but i have plans :grin2
