I remember on the flyer it saying they sell power commanders - don't suppose you know how much they charge? I've been hunting around for one for a while now, might end up getting one off ebay second hand...

I used these , My bike was surging and was abit of a handfull on and of the throttle.
I took a power commander with me . He fitted it and set it up on the dyno for 110.
Not sure if it was dear or not but it was money well spent as it completely transformed the bike and was a dream to ride. Hope it helps anyway.

Thanks, much appreciated.
I'm sold on getting one, I wanted one for my last bike but didnt keep it long enough. The F sport is soo damm snatchy... although I think the Acroprovic can has helped a little, it really needs a bit more help calming down ;)

Will give them a buzz tomorrow - cheers!

BTW, where did you get yours from?

The sheet shows the results of my xt660x with all the extras on it. The p.commander I got from the xt forum second hand for £90 quid. You should get 1 on flee bay I recon.
Not sure I can have 1 for the ktm as it has carbs. But then what do I no. Perhaps some else can tell me. Good luck.

Yes it be mototweeks.
Hes well priced. I think power commanders new work out at £200+, so not cheap. But he can set up carbs too talltone.

£25 power run
£47 Dyno labour rate (per hour) dont know whether vat inclusive or not.

He had a cbr on there with 60BHP when he was finished with it it had 99 :clap

Cheers fella.

Have found a pcommander on ebay second hand which is reasonable so will hopefully win that.

Not fussed about the extra bhp, just need to make it a bit smoother at lower revs... but more bhp can only be good as well ;)

YEAH, i got my powercommander from Nigel at Moto tweeks.......VERY helpfull guy, he really knows his stuff! he got me one, fitted it, then set it up for me to go with my K&N and Akro! bikes had a little dyno time there aswell! Seriously i cant reckomend this place enough. They are Mainly a Mechanics,With an awsome Dyno, and because of this you dont get charged the earth (as you would with a place that is a dealership to - wont mention any names) They DO have a few used bikes in there aswell, and because there mechanics there all usualy in tip top shape! (got a couple from him myself). Nigel is the guy that owns it/Head Mechanic - And he us seriously good at what he does. He has rdden bikes all over the world, And goes on LOADS of track days (Advanced of course). Seriously...i reckomend this place! I guess im pretty lucky though......as i have two TIP TOP mechanics walking distance from my house if anything goes wrong ( Micktls's place - Which i HIGHLY reckomend to everyone aswell - And Moto-Tweeks) Call em now on :- 01245 359908 And ask for Nigel!

Finally got round to arranging a custom map on my USBIII so have been ringing round for some pricing.

All pretty much the same apart from Team RHR who just seemed annoyed at the fact I was going to them to get it set up without purchasing the power commander from them.. and because if it wanted £188!

Anyway, Southern Cross was one of the places I spoke to and they said something about having to block off some exhaust emissions pipe before it could be set up properly - something none of the other companies mentioned.

Now it could just be that everyone else just include it in their setup price... but I have no idea what he is talking about. Does anyone else?

Cheers ;)

Not sure but could well be the crankcase breather they want to block off.

For info, MSS Discovery charged me £120 for a full map - 4.5 hours on the dyno....

i'd select someone from
http://www.dynojet.co.uk/tuningcentres.php?type=3

as you know they have completed the dynojet course and imo are more likely to get better results (the little extras like trimming the cylinders)

fit the commander yourself... download and load in a map from the dynojet website and then take it to be tweaked

MSS Discovery are a Dynojet centre, they are on the list.......

Wouldn't even bother downloading a map as they are real sh!te, just leave it zero'd and let the guy start from there.

EDIT: Just noticed you already had it booked in......

Yeah, i'm using Dyno Speed in Chigwell. A mate of mine has his RR done there a while ago and said they were really good. They are an approved centre and the price isnt too bad, so I thought i'd just book it ;)

Woohoo, get to go for a ride on Friday now ;)

Paul Watson who owns Dynospeed Developments did my ZX9R and managed to turn it into an R1 killer, seriously the things was kicking out in excess of 140 at the wheel by the time he had finished with it :D

Given that he builds, tunes and races Pro drag bikes, he knows a thing about tuning bikes, but they dont call him Grumpy Watson for nothing ;) :D
