Finished work, got home at 8pm on friday, didnt start loading the van until about 10pm, then eventually arrived at circuit around 2:30am saturday morning. After an hours uncomfortable sleep across the seats of the transit, i was refreshed and ready!

Shedule for the day was... SV qualifying, DD qualifying, DD race 1, SV race 1, SV race 2, DD race 2.

SV qualifying went by quickly, but it seems i only got 4 timed laps in.

DD qualifying and i developed ADD syndrome, only putting in 2 timed laps before pulling off the track and back into the pits cos i was bored.
2'10.59 P19

DD race 1 - finished 12th. Shoulder to shoulder with another guy in the last few corners, through the yellow flags and narrowly avoiding the bike that was laying on the track!
2'05.99

SV race 1 - 4th.

Spoke with one of the crew regarding suspension issues, as i found the front end locking up under braking, so we adjusted the rear shock by a couple of clicks and i went out into the SV race 2 to test.

SV race 2 - 2nd

the SV races i just use for a bit od extra testing so dont push it too much, as its not my championship and not worth the crash. This was reflected by the laptimes sitting around 2'07/2'08 mark. But i was no longer locking up the front end going into chicane 2 :)

SV race 2 was back to back with the 2nd DD race, so i had double fuelled.

DD race 2 - came out of turn 2 in 10th spot and worked my way into 7th by the end of lap 1... nice! Spent most of the race with 5th and 6th (team mate Tim) ahead by 4 seconds... managed to close them down to 3 seconds but was knocked back into 8th just before the final lap. With the red mist now falling in, i was determined to get 7th back again, and as we traded paint at the chicane, and then under the bridge going into Druids, i retook 7th back. As i turned into the double apex right hander (circa 100mph) Ali had slipped up tight on my inside and i couldnt turn in tight enough to make the corner, resulting in me hitting the deck. Bugger!

Assen next... bike is away in Lincoln being worked on, frame straightened, engine casings fixed up, new fairings, seat, screen, rearset, clipon, brake m/c etc etc etc. Also fork leg airgap to be increased by 10cc's of fluid.

New leathers and gloves required... (smashed the knuckle guard on my left hand!!! ). Cambelt went on the transit van on the way home too, just to top off the weekend... :(
