Problems: Leaking right-fork seal, cheap job, needs mot, tax, and then shes on the road.. have had a read through the mountains of paperwork.. it seems she is all legit.. i even have the importation documents from 1997 through the Military Of Defence. :)
History is that she was found by a RAF Serviceman whilst serving over in Canada (Scotland MOD) and he brought her, then brought her back into the UK and kept her all the way up to 2002.
In 1999 she was pretty much rebuilt completely.. i have no reason to disbelieve the previous owner with anything said (much a different story than the CBX;)) The guy was thorough with the bike, everything is in great condition, a few genuinely rusty parts.. chrome has stylish specks of copper colored rust here and there.. but as you can see shes in good condition for a 28 year old bike! ;)
As well as all that, she came with a trickle charger, manual, and a brand new air filter and brake pads.. so an absolute bargain for £400 it seems.
Will be putting her into the shop tommorow to get the seal sorted and an mot slapped on her... hopefully will have the spare cash from the ps3 sale to pay for the rest of the stuff (The GT is also due an MOT on the 10th May):grin1
Anyway, she looks and sounds brilliant, although i was dubious at the slight rattle but it dissapears at 1500 revs.. so could just need a good run..;)
