ok, i have absolutely no idea about bike suspension or what making it hard or soft will do but I've been told mines way to soft.
is there a recommended setting or is it all down to personal preference?
and what will the right set up do etc

Have a read of this...http://www.sportrider.com/tech/motorcycle_suspension/index.html
or take it to mc technics in stowmarket....http://www.mctechnics.co.uk/home.htm
check all your suspension settings first though & put them all back to standard (they may have been changed) as per your manual....& go from there...

Dave who has said your suspension is too soft ????????
1,have they ridden your bike ?
2, whats your bike doing ?
3, why do they say its too soft ?
4, wait until your new tyres have been fitted and settled down before adjusting anything

All you can really set without riding the thing is sag, and that wont affect the softness of the suspension anyway!
