errr, that one was in january, the day that the snow fell! te snow came down as we were packing away for the day, about 4:45pm, it was bloody cold all day. this snap was done in one of the first 2 morning sessions (i know cos i took my fleece off after those sessions...) so it was a cold track and no tyre warmers...
note the contact point between tarmac and fairing from cornering... :D

not with stock pipes you wont. they'll deck out long before that much lean, causing mucho sparking and the rear wheel to let go.

bridgstone bt39ss. and some carefully set tyre pressures
bridgstone have stopped making them now, but they grip like warm poo to a furry blanket! (considering that pic was in january!)and were cheap too! i got another set in the garage to go onto if needed, although theyre part worns from last season, they should be ok... the ones i have on at the mo i used for the second half of last season. Cant afford to get new tyres at the moment, so i'll have to get every last bit of life out of these 2 old sets! the bt39ss are in the correct size for tzr - 100/80/17 and 120/80/17. the next set i buy (wont be bt39ss, but a mix of avon/bt090) have to be an oversize tyre, which will stop the bike turning in as quickly...
Dan - yep, brands on saturday and sunday. we (yam past masters - tzr's, lc's, ypvs) are out on grid with the rookie400's which should be a good giggle! no doubt i'll launch the bike into a tyre wall for that extra comedy effect!
Sarah - you mean you saw a bike in that pic???
I would rather see you on the podium than in a tyre wall!

Yup, but only after i realised the others were talkin about the bike, then i looked at the whole pic and realised there was a bike in the 2nd and 3rd pic too ;)
Excellent. Well, hopefully i'll see you there, would be nice to finally meet you ;)

cool! i've turned down a garage to make sure i'm pitched up with yeti, we're out in the same races (he's rookie400). should be able to find us in the bottom paddock, look for the sidecars and we'll be somewhere near them!

lol! u got to meet me didnt ya??
shame though cos meeting in social circumstances is better than at a race day, as my head is always busy on other things so dont really get the chance to be errr... 'normal'??
ah, i've more or less fitted the new seat unit, using blocks of wood... anywas, heres a pic, bear in mind theres no seat foam on it yet so will look slightly different in the arse comfort area!
