As a few of you know, Danjaman and myself are doing up my gsxr that i bought from Fingerz.
I am thinking of replacing the rear body work/arse end with this:
http://www.moto-velo.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/26/products_id/247
Now, the idea is to get this piece of kit, wire in the rear lights that Captain is selling and perhaps reducing the size of my number plate ( keeping it legal of course ), and hopefully the end result will be an agressive looking baby gixxer.
Im not planning on having anyone on the back of her, so no pillion seat is needed.
Im kind of torn with this, as the kit will come from germany, and am worried about it not turning up etc.
Do you guys think all will be well if i order it?

Looks cool ! I have bought bits from abroad and never had probs........
One thing though...........have you thought about the seat.........looks like you can only have a race pad on it........not the most comfortable:grin2

Thats a good point...i havent thought about the seat at all!
I have been talking to the Captain about the kit, as i dont wont a typical german backside pointing to the sky, and he reckons it should be at the same angle as what i have now. If not, i'll get a new sub frame.
I'll have to take a look at pads now....yellow to match the wheels.
There must be somebody out there that could make a custom seat for that bit of kit!!!

So you approve then? Im sure someone on here will be able to point me in the right direction for the seat. I will need to get a new number plate too, i know someone on here makes them.

I got a seat made up for my baby ninja. Could buy one pretty cheap, however I wanted something a bit different. I used these people.

Not particularly cheap to have a custom seat made, but you can get it to your own spec. I had non slip with lettering on mine and a gel insert to compensate for the mentallly terrible suspension my bike has on the road :grin2 Check the link to the left for 'seats'.

I like it,go for it mate, modding the seat subframe is probably more of a job that you think tho,it took me around 20 hours to do mine, cutting off little bits here and there then test fitting it to see what else needs doing, well worth it in the end tho

Quick update.....
Finally had a reply from Moto-Velo today. Looks like i will need to make some sub-frame adjustments, not a problem.
Now, they told me that postage is only £8 and a few pence, which i thought was loody cheap, but hey, im not going to argue, and delivery is around 7 days. Looks like i could have this sooner than i thought.
Now, what i need to do now is find out about sub-frame modifiers, if it is needed, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, i would be most gratefull.
