To be honest I don't watch Dragonsden, and I didn't even bother to click the link, but if you put a brief description about it I might have had a look, seeing as it was something to do with bikes.

Oh my god, i just watched it...i have been saying something like this was needed for YEARS!!!!! i think its a fantastic idea! Gloves just dont do a good enough job! SOme of the comments on that page are just annoying though, clearly put on there by car drivers who know NOTHING about what bikers have to put up!!!

Well it seems a good idea but if you do a lot of travel on a bike in all weathers I'm not to sure its a practical idea. For years people have been trying to solve the issue of rain on visors. To date I have tried rainex a spray on the vidor liquid that supposedly makes the rain disperse, but doesn't, I've tried the finger gaurd which fits over a finger on your glove, which is Ok but can drop off. Gloves with fitted visor wiper blade where you move it across your visor, but this can scratch the visor.

And now your freinds invention which is on a similar track but rather than fitted to the glove its on the helmet/visor, being activated by pulling it down and up across the visor. The only problems i see are that most of the time you get spray on your visor from passing lorries or cars with heavy tread, to me this is not the time you want to be messing around pulling the visor wipe up or down. Coupled with this lorries throw up a lot of crap with the spray which potentially will lead to a scratched visor, making night time riding a bit of a nightmare with starbursting from passing cars, streetlights etc.
Also what if it gets stuck, your going to be concentrating on the device rather than your riding and not everyone feels comfortable with taking there hands off the bars, even more so in the rain.

What I have been thinking is a device that blows fine high powered jets of air down over the visor dipersing the water downwards. The idea actually came from using a gents toilet, and using the new Robert Dison hand drier, unlike conventinal driers which blow a thick stream of air over the surface of the hands this one blows fine jets and which with one sweep of the hand upwards your hands as dry as a babys bum. So the problem is how to power such a device and make it small enough to not be incumbersome. Perhaps someone should pitch it to Mr Dison before I do. http://www.essexbikers.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif

He has had the acceptance so will be on the show -- I just hope some of the *panel or whatver they are* have ridden -or have knowledge of bikes --failing that if a helmet manufacturer is watching they coulod, pick up on it . I am contacting Uk distibutors now --he has already had letters on intent <? for Canadain Soumy --so he is well pleased
