North weald quarter mile drag racing

Just to let you all know about this event. I hav been to this event most years and its really good fun and only £15 to do the quarter mile as many times as you want. There are a lot of cars there doing it aswell but they let all the bikes through every 15-20 mins its a really good buz especially when u thrash the bike next to you in front of the crowd! Or you can just wheelie the length of the runway which ile be trying! Its on the 8th of June, YES i know its the date of HG re-opening but north weald is open till 5 so u can always pop down after and watch. There are a few cars on show and drag bikes, some trade stands and yes lots of burger vans! Its a good day out if you hav nothin else planned......unless it r-a-i-ns!

Well, mine seems to think its actually a 1000cc v twin in a straigh line! ask RideOrDie!? lol ...I just wish i was lighter...and not such a hefferlump!

you never know, somebody might want to drop the 1100 motor in it and then use it for drag racing :)
actually wish the ktm was ready for then cos they fly up the strip and you can use the power from real low down

We went drag racing at North weald in May. I ran my CBR 400. There were all kinds of bikes there, even scooters on L plates, your 250 will be fine if you wanna run it Dan. Were going again if the weather is good this weekend, Its a great day.

i'm definitely going and i think sniffer might be as well but i just dont have the money to run up the strip.... will definitely cheer on any peeps from here that do though :)

They were threatening to chuck people out that they thought were deliberately doing wheelies especially on the way back. Got a bit stricter it seemed this year

Very strict about the way back not so bad about the proper strip.

Last year people were coming all the way back on one wheel and they didn't care so I don't know what's changed.

Someone probably flipped it and now they dont want to risk someone making a claim against the land owners.
