You've gotta respect that, being cynical here but arent there alot of low speed drop scratches on the right hand side? Bet hes had a few "ah****it" dropping it on the right hand moments, takes guts that. I'd want some form of protection for my stump though, you can just see it poking out his trouser leg. Bet he lost the leg riding as well.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b165/yen_powell/P1020228sm.jpgThe rest of us rode on the higher bit. The higher path was treachorously slippery, the bloke standing on it nearly came a cropper just trying to walk along it. Because of Bob's artificial left leg he wouldn't have been able to feel if it was slipping over and he was worried he'd tip over upside down into the water and get pinned under his bike. So he opted for the marine route.

Unfortunately because the spark plug hole was so filled in mud, the water splash from riding in acts as an electrical conductor, so killing the ignition. You have to reach in with your hand and claw the mud out to get the bike to fire up again. Once that was done he rode through no problems.

Bayonet, every time I read one of your stories I end up on ebay looking for off road bikes, I really want to try that.

its some of the best biking you will ever do, if you can you should give it a go.
improves your street riding as well.

Fair play, the determination in some people amazes me.
Did you see that guy with one arm in the advanced group at Rockingham?

Ive seen a few guys (or maybe the same one over and over) with one arm doing trackdays/racing. First time was when i went out with the London Bikers to watch Troutslayer race at Brands, saw another (or him again) at Donington on my track day and at Rockingham on Dads track day. It always has me in awe and holding so much respect for their determination!
