What petrol stations dont charge for their air?
Not that i mind payin now and then for air in the tyres, but when i have a slow leak and check my psi once a week, i kinda begrudge paying for 5mins of air when i need it for all of 2minutes.
So places like BP, Esso, Tesco, Texaco, Shell etc etc.
Do they charge for air and if so how much?
Add to the list if you can think of anymore garage names/companies even if you dont know if they charge, then someone else can fill in the blanks. I'm gonna be looking around more.
Just thought it would be interesting to have a list.
As a start, I do believe that Tesco's dont charge!
I can't think of a BP Service Station that charges, thats a COCO site (Company Owned Company Run) but a BP dealer site might charge

buy a foot pump, or better yet a new tyre. it would concern be that the only thing that is connecting me and my bike to the road is faulty, cant put a price on your safety

Bp service stations definately dont as i always use them
ASDA i believe is free..
Tesco DOES charge as the tesco express/esso garage in chadwell-st-mary and pitsea (i believe) does..
I agree though, get the tire plugged? or a new one..:grin3

Sarah just remember the gauges on petrol station air lines do not give accurate pressure readings

and if you ask 2E, he could probably make a whole thread about the difficulties of inflating a tyre ;)

Ive changed the tyre and had the valve reset and its still a problem, not a major one tho, it takes about a month to become noticable and as i check it every weekish its fine, it might not be spot on accurate but its pumped up and safe and when i can afford to get new tyres and find the leak and get it fixed i will.
Doodlebug, dont know anywhere round here, but i'll find it ;)
I dont think the tesco here charges, or the Sainsburys at Rayleigh Wier.
Ive used a foot pump before when it had sat for a few weeks and gone flat but its bloody hard work when its flat!
