Nodding is it UNCOOL

This morning I went out just to Brentwood and back and nodded to
10 bikers, only 4 recipricated and one of them was a copper. Nodding
shows we are all part of a two wheeled family and know what its like
trying to survive on these slimey dangerous roads. Maybe it's not cool
or these non-nodders are too hard.
What about you young uns do you nod.

I find it very rude when riders dont return a nod, although coming from brentwood myself, i havnt met anyone round here who doesnt.

You should have said if you were coming down here mate, id have met up with you.

i always give a nod, but like you say some people dont nod back. i find it kind of embarrassing, like theyre telling you to {EB} off

lol yeah i always nodd lol its funny when u get like a row of like 6 bikers coming down the road u feel like ur and elevator going up and down nodding your head like a dodo ! and the ones that dnt nodd back are normally due to them not seeing u or doing summink at the time or just think they are above you! i do try to nodd at the pedders or lower class bikes only a few nodd abck but the ones with l plates dnt seem to nodd back there more of a reaction to y he nodd at me does he want some come on then m8 ill av ya! etc

The Odd L plater gets the Nod as I remember when I was on L's once! :lol:

I dont tend to nod at learners, mainly because a lot of them dont know why your nodding them. If they nod me, i'll return the gesture.

Ped/scooter riders dont get a nod from me. 99% of them are {EB}, unsafe, and shouldnt be on the road.

All bikers are pretty friendly round here. My little NC30 VFR is nothing compared to most of the bikes I see, yet the riders will pretty much always flip up their visor at the lights for a chat ;)

I ALWAYS nod bikes and even the L plate massive but never a scooter or a DNA (shudders) If there's a few bikes in a row i sumtimes just put my hand up to em.

lol i got 1 L plate on my bike and i always nod at other bikes...id say 90% bother but a few still dont:( as for scooters dont class em as bikes anyways lol :lol:

t'is like mini owners... (i've had a few of those in my days...) we all used to flash each other, it's a clan thing. less and less mini's doing it nowadays, but some of the hardcore still do it.

nodding to riders is so yesterday. what u need to do is hoist one up and do a 'heelclacker' over the bars. especially if filtering thru the city.

lol ud love to see what i saw the other day was riding to colchester and in the other lane going the other way funnerly nough was 5 gixers prob litres and one after another in sequence pulleed a wheele down the road and one cheeky chappy nodded me whilst mid air i was well impressed nearly crashd watching em!

hehe i like this subject! I ALLways Nod, put out a hand or leg! and if theres a load of bikers i usually use to cut off switch to Bang hello em then wave,or wheely depending on the road!!!!! I nod the ickle L plate massive, evan the peds. the way i think bout it is this. when i had a ickle Spilia SR-50 there were LOADS of my friends with peds n scooters. but most of them went to cars. if you nod to them and talk at the lights n stuff, get em interested in your REALL bike, then maybe there is more of a chance of them staying on bikes.....what i think anyway!!!!hehe J

I always nod! Unless it's a courier, pizza boy, biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig scary guy on a homemade bike (in which case i just hide) or a moped or they have L-Plates! They gotta earn they're nod first!!! :lol:

Yeah i remember when i was a learner, used to nod n diddnt get a nod back....used to pish me off! god.....i kinda miss me ickle prilly SR50 n Speedfight50! SR used to do the best stoppies and you could pretty much get your knee down(cept the stand would stop you),and the speedfight would do sweet wheelys. but this knackered up the puny single sided front arm suspension...those were the days! i dont wanna not be a teenager! :cry: :cry: . stupid 20 coming soon!

yer, i suppose that we were all learners once, but still, it depends I suppose... If I'm feeling nice, i will nod, but just not at any of the peds or even worse, a Reiju and the such like!!! If it's an L-plate bike that seems like a nice person (I know you can't tell really), but u know what I mean, if it's some towny wearing their shorts and no T-shirt, I bully them and definately don't nod! But if they look like a decent, sensible rider and they
re on L-plates I give a nod. Cos i remember when I was on L-plates, was always nice to get a nod. But I must say that I remember going out on the bike with my pops when I was little and he used to look like a noding dog! But now, so few nod back! Although, I think it does depend on where u are aswell. My auntie was reckoning this... she lives in london and she reckons nobody nods now! But we went to Wales and we were getting nods from the other side of the motorways!!! Just seem a bit more friendly out of the city!

i think its rude not to nod back,
i even got a nod from a copper on a bike,
and once i even got a nod from a bloke on a ninja while i was on my ****ty commuter bike (gs125) and i was impressed :)
but yeah , when people dont nod back, i feel a bit of a melon
