Bonjour
As some of you already know, myself, Micktls, SDM, Whippet and a few other mates hit the roads of NW France a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome !!!!:clap
We left blighty at 2.30 on a sunny thursday afternoon heading to portsmouth for an overnight ferry to St Malo......
After strappin down the bikes we got changed and headed for the bar (as you do) and enjoyed a chilled evening watching the worst duo and magician I have ever seen......but had some giggles on the way:grin2
Hit StMalo at 8.30 Friday morning and headed off into the sunrise for miles of perfect roads and scenery !
First stop an hour out of St Malo was at the home of an english couple living the life of riley in a fantasic converted barn. We spoke to them on the Bike Club France site and accepted their kind offer of a tea stop:grin2 followed by some superb cakes and a chill in the morning sun:clap
Moving on to our base about an hour and half on, dropped of the luggaga and got ready to start a weekend of fantasic riding !!!!!
First ride out, and a guy with had oil all over his tyre, which was pointed out, his reply was 'I will scrub it off on the first roundabout' and he did just that........................
along with half his paintwork on his new HRC Honda:laugh1
apart from that mishap we had a perfect weekend of racetrack roads and flat out straights !
Tha french were soooo friendly towards bikes, every car moved out of our way to let us through...........apart from one.........that was a brit :shooter A few of us shot of and missed a turning without realising it...... and a french bloke pulled over to tell us the others were waiting 6k up the road not lookin to chuffed :laugh1
Food was plenty, people were great, roads were perfect and scenery was awesome !!!!!!
If your going you will love it, if your not, think about doin it, your missing loads of fun !!!!! And the D999 will curl your toes and make you scream like a girl :laugh1
As mick found out........
We both hooned down the above road, at rather a good pace, but forgot the roundabout at the end:grin2
Mick went the wrong way round, I went the right way round and the little old lady crossing with her bike and french stick didnt know wether to scream or **** herself as two Vtwins in formation ruined her peacefull stroll to the shops:laugh1
All in all a great time and Im lookin forward to the next journey:skip
Just to finish the trip in style........
Remember the guy who dropped his HRC on the roundabout........
Well when we got back to blighty we filled with petrol and he just......
well sort of.............
fell off :laugh1
both sides of his pride and joy ruined !!!! DOH !!!!
Great fun and I didnt wanna come home !!!!!!!!
Thanks to the guys I went with for a superb weekend and great company !!
Other things happened but are not fit for the public forum :laugh1:laugh1:laugh1
Merci
