really stupid question

i need to tighten my chain and have read in the manual now todo it, o and also watched Mike afew times. but in the manual it says to loosen the axel nut.... is it both of them of just the one side the chain is on ?

You'll have an axle going through the back wheel. One end (usually the brake side) will be fixed to the axle. The other end (chain side) is the actual nut.
It should have a cotter pin or R pin going through it to stop it undoing.

Pull the pin, loosen the nut a few turns...

depends if you need to if you do just one side does the wheel move ?

if not then both will be needed
