View Full Version : Site Problems **READ ME PLEASE** (invalid_session errors)
Apoligies if anyone hasnt been able to get on the site at any point this weekend. Google are trying to spider the forum and it keeps maxing out the allowed sessions.
Ive put something in place to fix this short term, but please let me know if you get any problems.

Yeah , happened to me in middle of the night.
I dont know what the Hell you are talking about but you da man Dan!
The forum has been offline for almost a day, and no one told me!
We have another problem with the forum, which would explain the lack of people in here lately. I really wish people would tell me!
A lot of you may get an invalid_session error when posting a message, and also you may find that you go back to the forum after looking at a thread, and its marked everythnig as read - i.e. none of the forums show up with gold icons.
I'll fix this asap.
This is still an issue I am working on - it would be helpful if anyone who gets an invalid_session error (or has all the unread forums dissapear when someone else logs in) lets me know via this thread, so I know how many people are being affected.
Cheers.
Dan.
I tend to use the back button all the time so this doesn't happen. I start at the search for new results page and just click back to that page after i have looked and replied to each post.
And same with the copy and paste when you get an invaild session.

(its all nomal to give it a kick now n then, seems to make it move a little smoother quieter n faster towards the otherside of the room!)
Right, I /think/ i have now fixed the the following session problems:
If you were logged into the forum before, and someone else logged on, all forums/threads were marked as read.
Sometimes when posting a message, you would get an "invalid_session" error
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can everyone tell me if either of these 2 things happen to you as of now.
Cheers!
yeah that annoying message....thought may have just been me!!
just keep swmming (login in)
sorry nemo fan - im old enough to know better too.
I am still getting the "Invalid-session" error when I try and post, I then have to copy the text, go back, and hit reply again, paste the text in, then it works, bit of a long winded way, but it works.
ok - i've just updated the forum to a newer version.... see if that fixes it!
Let me know again, if you get all the posts marked as read when someone else logs in, and also if any invalid_session errors occur.
Ta!
Dan.
Well I have 350 new posts to look through so I will let you know if it works!
I dont like bringing bad news but I have no choice!
I was making my way though the posts and I clicked back to the search page to find they had all gone!
So there are posts out there I haven't scanned!!
