Putting my ZZR-1100 up for sale as my poor old body is struggling to take my 146 miles a day commute, not as young as I used to be.....:grin2
It's a 1996 'N' registered ZZR-1100 D4 model, it is just coming up to 53,000 miles but these things carry on forever.
It is fitted with a Thatcham approved alarm / immobiliser, also has a flip light tint screen and also the standard one plus a rear hugger.
Brakes have been upgraded from the poor stock ones to GSX-R 1000 6-pot Tokico's, this has been done properly with shouldered bolts and has braided lines fitted - Now stops as they should have done when new!
Had a new X-ring chain and both sprockets replaced about 1000 miles ago, was last serviced at 49,000 miles where all filters, oil and plugs were changed. Carbs were also synchronised at the same time.
Exhausts have been replaced with those from a low mileage D7 model so are in very good condition - older ones tend to rot and start blowing.
The bike had been down the road sometime previously in its life and when I purchased it, it was wearing odd coloured panels so I had it repainted in silver but you can see some marks etc under the paintwork but still looks really nice and often gets positive comments.
Both tyres are pretty squared off due to my commute, so could do with replacing in the near future but are still legal. Previous owner had polished the wheel rims but I have been too lazy to carrying on polishing them, would easily polish up again....
Taxed until the end of October, MOT'd until 15th Feb 2009
Comfy and very quick bike, eats the miles. Surprisingly good on fuel - I see around 45 - 50mpg at around 90mph daily. Bike has also been derestricted - running the full 147BHP.
Looking for offers around £1250'ish. Always game for a haggle / trade / swap etc.
