What fuel are you allowed to run.

Fuel Fuel.

I use Optimax. Although I haven't noticed the difference.

People have been known to use aviation fuel if you can get your hands on it But I am sure its not allowed.

AH HA! I will quote you a chapter from the Bikers bible:

UNLEADED PETROL as defined by European Committee for standardisation (CEN) EN 228 (1993) or BS EN 228 (British Standards BS7070) must be used for all kinds of motorcycle racing (See individaul discipline rules)

RON must be min 95.0 max 102.0 test method ISO 5164

MON must be min 85.0 max 90.0 test method ISO 5163

Oxygen %m/m max of 2.7 test method ASTM D 5622

Nitrogen %m/m max of 0.2 test method ASTM D 4815

Benzene %v/v max of 1.0 test method EN238

Only ambient air may be mixed with fuel as an oxidant.

Hope this answers your question! 8)

This is not a stupid question!

So you could use super unleaded!

Thats correct.

Normal Unleaded is about 95 RON

Super unleaded or Shell Optimax is about 98 RON so burns hotter and causes less build up of carbon on the valves.

Dont know what kind of fuel is 102 ron though! Might have to try and find some!

I've seen you use warmers but do you use nitrogen in your tyres.

have heard it through the grape vine that model aeroplane fuel goes like the stinkers!!! (8% nitro or something)

Some bloke said he used to use it in his old tzr250rr, said it was very good fun! Worth a try if u can get away with it!

Avaiation fuel is the stuff they use in planes. And yeah it goes like stink.

As for the TYre question.

I just use good old air.

Nitrogen doesn't expand when it gets hot so the pressure you have when its cold is the same is when it is hot.

I have only had the warmers for about 2 meeting as the pressure goes up about 5 psi after they have warmed the tyres up.
