tzrr 125 piston and rings!

a mate is in need of a new piston and rings for his tzrr 125cc italian mod, as it lost compression n when we checked the piston has a chunk out of it.

anyone got a spare or no where he can get one pretty cheap, have checked ebay but cant see anything at the mo, any info appreciated!

i think its the same as the 250 which has two of these.
inside the piston it says 1KT 250

Try yamaha direct someone like fowlers they are probably the best .dont worrie the piston and ring kits are less than fiftyquid .dont be silly and buy second hand stuff its never worth it it might be a load of poo poo :wink:

yeh well when i rang yamaha they said it was £21 for the rings and £150 for the piston! so i said fu#k that i'll look elsewhere,n the bloke agreed! he couldnt belive it either.
But i found one now but just gotta call the bloke at the shop before i order for him to confirm its the right one.
it's only £22.50. it worked out £54 for fork seals,piston n rings and the top end gasket set.and that includes P+P :D

i got the parts n quick too,
i ordered at 4.30 on thursday n they were here 8.30 the next morning! these guys are pukka,full gasket kit was every gasket u need for a tzr total engine rebuild. my mate recons he paid 50 quid for the last head gasket he got from yamaha, but this had that aswell as all other gaskets n rubber seals!
