Thought you might like to know that Adopt a Racer arranged for Mark Talbot to test ride for Riot Racing today with a view to competing in the European Superstock Championship next year.

He tested on Riot's number 2 bike - an Aprilia Mille 1998 as the number 1 2004 bike is still being repaired. He had never ridden a twin before. He had never ridden at Brands Hatch before. He had never ridden on slicks before.

His first lap was 57.4 and by his 3 lap he had dropped to 56s. By the end of the first session, he dropped to 54.0.

In his 3rd session, his lap time had dropped to 51.9, bearing in mind that there was a lot of traffic and he never got a completely clear run.

He managed to scrape both sides of the fairing, he was leaning so far (apparently no one has ever scraped the left side before).

One wonders what he would have done on the '04 bike.

A press release will be issued soon but in the meantime, what a show, Mark! Brilliant job! :D

just read the write up on you, there bloody good times for someone on his first day there , and your right in what you said you don't know that your going that fast as it all just clicks together and it's seems that it's no effort at all, a great feeling too, all i can say is well done and good luck in the future. tell you what is a good day to learn on is the ron haslem day , you can do it on fireblades with all the sensors on it and it tells you what your doing and how to inprove and with top riders to, you go out on a one to one bases and you get to go round donnington too, and thr craner curves r the DOGS, good luck (move over val :D)
