ermmm vibration n stuff i guess not as easy to tell when going along like in a car i spose
try n get the front wheel up in the air, then spin it n see if its notchy or rumbling when you put your ear next to the axle

its the same on the car wheel bearings put the front or back wheel in the air and grab the top of the wheel and the bottem then and rock it back and forth(you need 2 be facing the wheel)piviting on the wheel bearing and there can be a very little play but if more thsan a little play the replace the wheel bearings. before you do this test make sure the spindle (centre wheel bolt) is tight.

i go with both of those methods, works for me as you are both right.
U seem to either have too much time on your hands and are looking for faults or there is a lot of niggly problems on your beautiful new bike :( . Hope its not the latter Dan.

Woa! Thats a pic of my old Teaser!!
the nuts!!!
its got red wheels man! looks good! :D
My bike only ran on 3 cylinders earlier on today - does that at low revs hence why its a bitch to start n a bitch to tickover - wound the tickover out to stop it stalling but course, it revs high until it loses a cylinder lol!
nightmare!
One day i will get it fixed!!
I have lent my car out to me mate cos his car is knackered - it never ends!

you can tell if the front ones have gone when you brake, if it feels like the front is weaving and is going to tuck then they probably are!!! but rocking the wheels from side to side is the best way, also listen for any unusual noise when you spin the wheels. If in doubt change them, you're best off buying them from a bearing shop, the size will be on the side of the dust seal, usually 3 numbers. will save you loads of money!!! and put them in the freezer the night before you fit them, they will go in much easier!!!
grab the wheel and see if it moves from side to side on the axle....easy to change just ....just fitted new ones on my CBR :D
