Ello,

I've got a TZR125 on a J plate that is now having problems starting after standing over the winter.

I stripped the carb down, replaced a perished 2stroke oil pipe (pump to carb) and cleaned the plug etc and checked the obvious and she started on the second kick...took her out for a run with no problems, she was eager and couldnt fault her...however....three days later she failed to start again (and hasnt started since). I've had the carb to bits again, replaced the plug (more out of elimination than owt else)...theres no obvious problems and I'm running fast out of ideas.

Can anyone help!!

Many Thanks

Nik

Probably a silly question, but did you bleed the oil pump after replacing the pipe?

Are you getting a spark from the plug? If so, is it a strong or weak spark?

I had this several times with my TZR, and its more times than not down to somthing really stupid.

Dan.

Hi Dan,

It did turn out to be sommat stupid!

Although I appeared to be getting a good spark from the plug (so assumed it was ok), I replaced it anyway. She started on the first kick and has been running sweet ever since :D

This is my first bike which I bought last August so its a big learning curve for me.

Thanks for your help, it was much appreciated
