hi all

new tyre stitched me up last week and nice little low side had a less than friendly effect on my tail (not to mention the bike)

anyone know of suppliers/breakers that can get me a new tail for an 04 r6?

much appreciated

thanks - may give them a try. had to call into the dealer for some other bits last night and the tail might not actually be too bad on the pocket. they're going to let me know

apart from the centre part of the sticker gone, tcut and a bit of effort means you can't really tell. blummin cracked underneath tho.

Do you know what the best thing for a bodge it glueing session in the mean time? is superglue fine or should i try and get some kind of specialist resin bond?

I've used superglue on small cracks, but it's more brittle and won't really last on a big crack and then it's more work to re-glue. You could try aralditing it from the inside if its a crack.

cheers for the suggestions - going to have a fight with it this weekend. cracks are pretty long - did wonder about superglue. hadn't thought of the soldering iron version - will defo check it out, otherwise a bodge with the resin bonding stuff looks to be the way forward. New tail upper comes in at £220 - may wait til the weather impoves before taking the hit on that one (no one is seeing it in the dark and in the rain.........)

Are the tail pieces easy to get off? hoping that stressing it by removing it from the body won't make matters worse.........
