It saves wear on the clutch, and can be easier on the gearbox as the gear engages when it wants to rather than when you force it to.

Don't put as much pressure on the lever as you normally would.

I don't suggest clutchless downshift or upshifting between first and second. The clutch is there for a reason.

i pretty much use the clutch for changing from neutral to 1st and 1st to 2nd, from there on its a case of roll off throttle and kick up, literally :D

coming down the box its exactly the same although i tend to blip it a bit more, i suppose it depends on how noisy a mood i am in :D

if u keep slight upward presure on the gear change as u roll off the gas it unloads the friction in the box and with a little more upward presure it clicks in then wack the gas back on.with down shifting i use the clutch and blip the throtle so the revs rise & as u kick it down & release the clutch theres no suden increase in engine speed 2 upset the balance of the bike.its why race bikes have slipper clutches

Its the only way to ride.

use the clutch for 1st and 2nd then just kick it up and down for the rest

If your riding fast in to a corner dont just kick down the gear or your back end will lock and your fcuked. use your clutch going in and remember to blip the throttle.

Have a look at this topic. We have had a good chat about this before.
