Well, you all answered the observations I posed with your own comments. It ain't a biker site, it's a community. But of what?

My experience, 25+ years.

My bikes, kawa ZX12 and ZX10.

Ride just about every day.

Quote tark "Have to agree with some comments though about posts going backwards and forwards between the same few. I have stopped reading most posts now as they aren't worth my time."

That from an EB moderator.

From the same moderator: " have lots of questions that I need answering but no offense intended, I dont bother to ask them here as I dont think anyone would give me an advice or have a better idea than myself".

From ride or die: "i have made some posts about probs with my bike but i think i only had one serious reply, in the end i just took it to a garage and said solve it"

hmm, some camaraderie, some experience. Looks like you're all about 18 then.

"You wouldnt believe the amount of visitors this site gets a month" - yeah, but how many are members (or register), who add anything to the quality of the site?

Looking back you promote illegal racing, illegal riding (no insurance, no licence etc). Little, if any, attempt by the moderators to curb those threads.

I could make a lot of constructive comments but I think they would just fall on deaf ears. From what I see who has the inclination to change anything?

ah well........

wow, now i am only young, and i dont have much riding experience... but you, have FAR too much time on your hands, if you're such an experienced rider who finds this forum usless, why keep returning?? you're clearly to good for us so, with all due respect, go away! leave the forum alone...

yeah we are young and the more (experienced) riders we get the better, but most of us are young so we can only grow. if he was a proper biker he would offer his advice but it seems to me that he's heard of the site and how big it is and wanted to check out the competition.

URMM, EXCUSE ME "MR I HATE THIS FORUM"
If u bothered to read those threads properly u would have noticed that i and others repeatedly told the users in question that it wasnt a good idea to promote it on here or to do it at all... as for editing the threads... well that's down to the 2 mods and i'm guessing they were left so everyone could see how stuipd the post was and to make an example of those users.

WELL INSTEAD OF SAYING U COULD MAKE CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS, WHY NOT STOP CRYING ABOUT HOW MUCH U HATE THIS FORUM AND SHARE UR OBVIOUS YEARS OF EXPERIANCE AND WISDOME WITH US YOUNG'UNS...OLD MAN!!!!!!!!

Thank you for ur time...

:D :D :D :D here here, my thoughts exactly, for someone with "25+ years" experience, you're very quiet when it comes to anything more than insulting the forum... move on!

Well, I've not been called young for a long time, I'm 43, I have lots of experience of life and a good understanding of mechanics, I offer help and advice where I can.

Tark, is very clever with a bike, so he has probably the highest skill level & experience here, he knows that, but unlike some he is not just here for what he can get.

I try to be helpfull and supportive to the lads on here. They are young and some seem to have excesses of testosterone from time to time:wink: but they are a good bunch generally.

Why do you visit the site mr I hate EB?

This has made my day a little better  . I can't understand the minds of some people, why come on here posting un-needed pointless crap and slagging us off? if you don't like the site or the peole on here why do you keep visiting and posting? If you do want to post then post something constructive that we can all gain from!

Yes most of us are young, you were young and inexperienced once, don't forget that. I don't admit to being a good rider or that i know everything, infact i know that, i don't know much thats why i'm on here. Experiece is something you gain from riding and riding and riding, so eventually we will become better riders. The people are really friendly and helpful! we are all mates and thats what makes it a good community.

Why not come to the ride out on the 19th and show us what you consider to be good riding and give us tips so we can learn from yourself the 'Oricale'.

calm down calm down lets remember we're all hear cause of a common interest, and i would hope, that as i do, most of u on here and our guest would stop 4 a fellow rider who had broken down, cause when i started riding we were looked at as the common enemy by mr average so it created a bond, trouble is a lot of the time now mr average has a bike as a weekend fashion statement.pains me as it does our guest does touch on a couple of raw nerves,as i was saying 2 another member the other day, i posted 2 topics recently,1 with regaurd 2 wsb starting the other on neil hodgson the combined no of replys 2 these topics was 13,4 a bike related site thats not 2 good

haha what i find funny is this site has never claimed to be a technical forum neigher a "bike site" its always claimed and has been a biker community! and in that respect it certanly hast failed *spelling* and yeh there are a lot of young riders me being one of them but i joined this forum 2 years ago and through the forum and its members i have learnt alot and made some life long friends you can slag off the forum all you like specially as you dont even have the ******** to join the forum and must be bored ****less praying on a forum because its not running how you would like it or you would run one well do yourself a favour if you dont like it then run your OWN!

I still think you are acting like a baby.

You didn't need to answer the questions. You didn't need to tell us about your bikes or expeirience. I didn't bite back and tell you all about myself as I dont have anything to prove.

Age doesn't matter. I am 20. I have been riding since I was 4. So I have 16 years experience. What if I was 40 and just sat on a bike for the first time?

I am a moderator of this forum and although not from Essex I run it the way the people who use it like it. We have had a large discussion about this recently after your first comments. I agreed with a lot of things you said and I have changed a few things. There has been much more technical topics and a few new members who are helping with questions.

Your Gotta Say Part 2 is more constructive than the first but I dont understand your reasons for quoting me? I am not from Essex so there is no point in me reading info about ride outs or meets in Essex. If the site wants to be a community then I am not going to stop it.

If your not from Essex this isn't the site to come to. I am here as the site used to be about TZRs and VFRs and I used to have a TZR.

I find it difficult to put across veiws over text. It is hard to show emotion or tone in what you type. Cant be arsed typing much more.

Thanks!

Lets just hope I can Whoop some ass this weekend with all my skill! You can never have too much experience! And there are some experiences I wouldn't reccomend so I try to warm others before it happens to them! :?

Well, you all answered the observations I posed with your own comments. It ain't a biker site, it's a community. But of what?

Of bikers. The name of the site gives that away a tad.

My experience, 25+ years.
In what, biking or website criticism? if the former, then congratulations - although i dont see how that gives you the credit you seem to assume people will give you.

My bikes, kawa ZX12 and ZX10.
Congratulations - nice bikes.

Ride just about every day.
All you have proved so far is that you are a keen, experienced biker with a chip on your shoulder.

Quote tark "Have to agree with some comments though about posts going backwards and forwards between the same few. I have stopped reading most posts now as they aren't worth my time." That from an EB moderator.

He isn't local. The majority of posts on here are about rideouts that he cannot attend. Mark is a moderator because of his Internet and racing experience. If you are insinuating that the posts aren't worth your time either, then there's a simple solution.

From the same moderator: " have lots of questions that I need answering but no offense intended, I dont bother to ask them here as I dont think anyone would give me an advice or have a better idea than myself".

I refer back to my previous comment again - you always get users at the top of the knowledge chain. If you browse through the forums you will see many users have come away from this site with more knowledge than they came on here with, thanks to people like Mark.

From ride or die: "i have made some posts about probs with my bike but i think i only had one serious reply, in the end i just took it to a garage and said solve it"

Ah, so unless people get free advice from the site, its useless?

hmm, some camaraderie, some experience. Looks like you're all about 18 then.

(sigh) ages range from about 15-50 - i'm loosing interest in this reply.

"You wouldnt believe the amount of visitors this site gets a month" - yeah, but how many are members (or register), who add anything to the quality of the site?

With this site being a popular resource for the TZR (thats a Yamaha by the way) and the VFR, half the site visitors just get the info they need from the main site and never visit the forum. The same goes for the forum really, a lot of people only sign up to get info out of certain threads.

Looking back you promote illegal racing, illegal riding (no insurance, no licence etc). Little, if any, attempt by the moderators to curb those threads.

Read on old, experienced (anonymous) biker. Myself, Tim and Mark all shot those threads and moaned at the users promoting them. The Metropolitan and Essex police both know of this site and neither have been unhappy with the outcome of any thread posted. In fact, they have said on numerous occasions that it is nice to see a sensible and *friendly* biking community with such a good age range. Its bikers like you who are the minority, not us.

I could make a lot of constructive comments but I think they would just fall on deaf ears. From what I see who has the inclination to change anything?

Its a pity you haven't made any constructive comments so far. In fact, if anyone looks immature in this thread its you Mr. old, experienced 'i ride every day' biker.

ah well........

Indeed.

Dan.
