Wonder if anyone could help me out, You see i'm looking to become trainee mechanic cause i love bikes, i don't know alot about bikes mechanically but i'm willing to learn. I have been phoning around clacton/colchester asking bike shops if they have any mechanic opportunities but none of them have, Does anyone know how i could get started?

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks alot
Kev.

Spanky, can you PM me too, thats what my lad Andy is trying to do too! :D :D

He has taken an NVQ in Motor vehicle mechanics this year as a starting point.

Don't they only do car mechanics at colchester institute? or is that what i will have to do to start me off?

i done 1st n second yr nvq on cars but not much around for bikes only evening corse and a home course that is usually advertised in back of ride mag. best thing is just get ur foot in the door wiv a bike shop or something. may not be a mechanic but will still be working wiv 2 wheels. hope this helps
