pointless service

heres the stupid question of the day but i would like a serious answer if its possible. im servicing a 50cc scooter over the weekend. does any one no what gets servced on these things wen a dealer does it. it done bout 3500 miles. cheers guys. ps great day on saturday

Presuming its a 2 stroke

Gearbox oil ....probably 10-40 semi-synthetic
Spark plug

Check airfilter
general check around, for loose/falling off bits, brake pads/operation, head bearings, suspension movement.

cut & shut various pipes on exhaust, and remove spacer washer from variator......no you mustn't do it :roll:

I don't suppose it would get much else........I don't suppose it would even get that at some dealers :wink:

Oil levels, new spark plugs, clean and dry the air filter, tyre pressures. fork seals, brake pads, tighten drum brake if it has one, bulbs and indicators, cant think of much more though. Hope this is a help to you.
