Might be able to get it plugged depending where it is in the tread, might save you a few quid.

I assume it's safe, I've heard of plenty of people doing it. Obviously it's probably safer to get a new tyre, but if you've got £100 to burn then feel free.

I think that sounds ok to get plugged, they don't suggest you have more than 2 plugs in one tyre, and I think if they're above a certain speed rating they don't like doing them.

go somewhere like focus, they have just set up a tyre fitting workshop along side trining, a specialist place will be able to tell you if it can be repaired or need placing, but obviously they may push you to replacing it as it will mean more money for them

If it in the middle it'll be ok. i got mine done after i got a 3inch screw in it. It tends to deflate a little more than usual but it's quite safe. Put some of that green gunge in aswell get them to put it in for you. try and take the wheel off yourself and get someone to give you a lift it'll be cheaper as they dont charge for labour

or......

u could go to a trye place and ask them if they have any part worns u could steal on the cheap. I did that when i got a nail in a 10 min old tyre and got a bridgestone 020 for £20 and it had only done a warm up lap at snetterton......billy bargain if u ask me
