Seriously - do they like being humiliated? I've just rode from my house to Tesco petrol station through town, i was on Parkway and New London Road for all of 2 or 3 minutes tops, and a car tried to race me at every set of lights :? why?

They are surely not stupid enough to think they are going to win, even against a slow bike like mine? This has genuinely got me baffled, why do they bother? Seriously, any comments?

P.s. It sounds like i'm complaining but I quite enjoy winning :D especially against cars with dumpvalves and blue neon lights EVERYWHERE

P.P.S. yes, that's right, i beat a car with a turbo and neon lights, Fast n Furious Stylee lol. :D

P.P.P.S not that i condone racing on the roads, but they just ask for it!

They might just get a buzz out of watching a bike go fast!

Thats probably the case, i had a Sapphire Cosworth sat in front of me the other morning, the passenger was swung round watching me on the bike, while the driver did his best to keep in front of me, once it was safe for me to overtake he give me the wave by but made sure he was watching as i went past :D

Looked like a couple of window lickers with their grids stuck to the glass, and just to show them who the boss was, i matched their speed as i moved alongside, and thgen nailed it wide open to show them what power to weight ratio means :D

Yeah, I overtook a BMW Turbo nutter b@stard the other day, several cars in a line, overtake opportunity opened up, BMW pulls out, and overtakes, I followed the BMW, and as he pulled in, I stayed on outside, gave it another little squirt of "go juice", and proceeded past BMW as well, all a piece of ****, and I never even used full throttle, now the problem is that BMW drivers, think they are the fastest vehicles on the road, and the fastest drivers, and the thought of someone else having the audacity to overtake them when they are giving it everything upsets them, this was evident from his behaviour from that point on

.....All I can suggest to the BMW drivers is to come back when they have a power to weight ratio of 560BHP/tonne or better

well its like they said on top gear a while ago, if u wanted to get a sensible car u buy a mondeo, if u wanted to stand out u buy a BMW, thats no longer the case as BMW's are so common, they need to get the hint.

i do think tark is right, these guys like bikes, they like speed, and do like bikes so they just wanna see something fast i think. i mean i got a mate who has an escort RS turbo, tuned to well over 350bhp, a fast car but although he doesnt have a bike i know hed like one as he loves em
