Howdy all,

Just a little request. I've got the big 18 b'day bash comming up at the end of next month. I've got the venue and the drinks are VERY cheap (£1.10 a pint and bottle, 60p a shot. So if your comming book your ambulance now :P)

But i'm minus a DJ atm. Before i do all the boring phoneing around countless DJ's thro the yellow pages i was wondering if any of you lot DJ or know anyone that is a DJ who could possibly DJ for a fellow biker on sat 27th Aug. And too be even more checky isn't that expensive :P

might be able to help you there! :-) Check out Big Daddy (John) at the Lion pub Langenhoe colchester. He's pretty reasonable, and very good :-) Good luck! ...oh and happy b day xx

OOOoooo thanks. I don't supose you have a number for him do you? As i can't get down to colchester that easily, being bikeless and all.

Unless his number in the phone book is under Big Daddy (John) :lol:

I'm not sure, he said he works for Essex FM but that could be advertisement, paperwork, doing tea's and coffee's :lol: (only joking) Hopefully he is a DJ. Pete what do you do?

look for lion pub in fone book hun. call on sat or sun eve...and ask for john, and say vicki sent u. (Dont tell anyone thats my real name k..shhh its secret) and i better get an invite!!! T x

Yeah I DJ, got loads of gigs coming up, but I haven't got my own equipment!

I'm just the Cover DJ for Leez Priory...so all the equipment is already there.

Plus I do Bakers Bar in Southend too.

I don't suppose you could borrow some equipment and do mine? I here Becky on the R6 likes DJ's, and she'll prob be there lol i'm joking, well she will be there but i haven't heard from her yet :P If not don't worry and i'll try this John at the lion pub. Thanks vi... ooops i mean Tori :lol:

Yup anyone and everyone on here is invited. Its at the TA centre in Springfield on the 27th Aug, remem to book your ambulances early tho :twisted:

Yeah you'd think working in a radio station with loads of other DJ's that there would be Spare Gear floating around.

I'm supposed to be DJ'ing the Travel Guys wedding, I said I would if he could find some gear, but he is having trouble!

rubbish ain't hay maybe I could buy some equipment and it could be

LOL yes she'll be there but i think she is still with someone. So sorry there mate.

Ok don't worry about it, i'll try and get this guy from the pub to do it. If you think your going to get some equipment and decide before a week on saturday then your hired. IMO although it wld be good if you could do it, i'd rather be getting drunk than DJ'ing, or hell do both. lol

how much you wanna pay him ? im not to sure how much cash he will ask for. . . but if i tell him its for a mate. he will sort you out.

what sort of set do you want ? he is mainly hip-hop and funk.

hummmm ok, was looking for a cheesy music, 80's or rock DJ. I'm awaiting for a number of someone, but if it doesn't go through i may need your cousins number. Can you find out how much he'll do it for, just in case i need him.
