Hi, I have just finished the few jobs needed on the carbs, the bike runs fine but on odd occassions the engine runs fast, but the throtle is shut down, is this a cable on the push/pull sticking or needs fine adjustment, or are there other things that need looking at in the carbs?

Have you checked the choke cable?

I would assume something like this would be caulsed by either over-fueling or some sort of airleak in the carb(s).

Well had the carbs apart again and found out that the idle jet rubbers needed renewing, seems taht that has sorted the problem. Many thanx 4 the help
