How is this for a kick in the ********.....
Just got a letter from my solicitor saying that the other driver's insures are now not in a position to accept liability
WTF does this mean? My mum is going to ring him later, but come on for **** sake if he admits liability and everything starts to roll how and why the hell can they then turn around and say no there not accepting liability!
So i'm now skint, not earing money, can't ride my bike, and got to deal with this ****ing monkey and not knowing if i'm going to get compensation!
Anyone want to buy a 2001 well looked after blue ER5?
Sorry for my language but at this moment i'm proper ****ed off.

Now not in a position to admit liability? WTF is that all about?
I thought once he'd admitted liability then that was it - there was no going back on it.
Best speak to your solicitor....

Paul, they can't change their minds. It's like admitting to a crime then trying to tell the police, errr actually no officer - I didn't rob that bank after all.
Was the driver actually insured? Sounds like their insurance company is ****ting themselves and trying to get out of paying - it's a nasty habit insurance companies have....

Nope, he was/is insured. I don't know whats going on.
All i know is that my solicitor told me they had accepted liability, and now they've changed their minds. I don't know all the mumbo jumbo but i know that they have and there is nothing i can do :(

Did you have any witnesses? Did you get their names/contact details?

There were hundreds of witnesses but due to laying on the floor in agony and unable to get up i personally didn't get any details. The police have all the names, numbers and statements. I have nout.
Go to the police hun, one of my friends has recently been through the same thing - police being called - driver accepting responsibility in front of them and other witnesses and then later changing his mind after taking advice...
My friend went back to the police and told them of the other drivers change of plea...and the police are now planning on doing him independantly as well as enforcing the liability admission...they take a grim view of folk trying to pull the wool over the laws eyes - and in this instance - the ol' bill could turn out to be your best friend...
Good luck and dont let the bastards grind ya down...

What a ****er!
Good luck with it.
Surely if they have admitted liability, the paperwork is admissable in court as evidence against them.?????

Sounds to me like you need a new solicitor more than anything fella, what solicitor is going to sit back and allow an insurance company to override the legal system without yanking them back into line and threatening to take them to the cleaners if they dont play nice? ;)
I would speak to the Police and ask to press charges if this is the case, they will have taken names and statements and would have already made their assessment as to who was to blame, especially where injury was caused (this is because any hospital admission now requires them to make a report and sketch in case someone snuffs it ;) ).
I would imagine this is all just hot air and it is the insurance chancing their arm, so just lean on them with the solicitor a bit ;)
