Aprilia RS50 or a Derbi GPR50?

well whick one do you thinks better?

i gotta make a choice between one or the other because in 2 month when im 16 it looks like im gonna have to pick one of em, the aprilia has a top speed of 65mph where the derbi only has a top speed of 60mph but the derbi's tank lifts up and there is a storage space for a helmate, but on the other hand you can get a 75cc rebore kit for the aprilia to give it more power, both look smart enough and have a 6 speed manual gearbox. so what do yall think i should pick?

ermm thats a difficult one - both have pro's n cons but in my opinion it would have to be the aprillia - specially if there is a chance of a big bore kit! - get the aprillia and get the big bore kit - sod the helemt holder thats just something you dont need! - carry your lid and be proud mate! lol!

eloo pplz... i am 16 in a few months and i was just wondering which wud b better to hav as a frst bike an rs50 or a tzr 50.. i have been told that a tzr will only go 35-40mph stock because of a powervalve restricting the rpm..whereas a rs50 goes 55-60mph... i prefer the looks of the tzr and the tank is much bigger, the wheels are wider and and the rs50 is cheaper.. to be honest i havent a clue wat im goin on about... could sum1 hu noes wat they're duin help me choose... thanx

tzr 50's are a good bike. i have one :) i like them better then the rs50 but we both share the same engine so not a big differance there. yea there are a fair few restrictions on it but app i can do 70 on it but i dont like doing tht all the time cos its only a 50. ive not had major probs wioth the bike cept sticky gfloat but was solved easily. the panels are quite cheap on the tzr aswell minus the twop pickies which are 150 each which i cant manage to scrap together yet so. i dont know bout the rs 50 but i think they are cheraper cos when you throw them down the road i supoose.

they looks the bullocks compared to the rs50 i mean the rs50 is gd dont get me qwrong i just prefer the tzr not just cos i ride one. ill go for the tzr if i was you, is a gd bike but if u want a big perfomance 50 then rs50 becasue they are simply more parts going for them then the tzr, but wouldnt no y u need to go faster then 65 anyway not point reli.

thanx like lol... are you16 then ..and i dnt see the need 2 go over 65 on a 50 either.. i prefer the tzr but the only problem is the cost of them and the amount i got qouted for on insurance which was 800 tpf&t. personnally i cant afford 2500 wen im 16 beacause i wont be startin a full time job till july or later.. the reason i thnk i will get an rs50 is beacuase they are so much cheaper and easyer 2 get parts... how much do u pay for insurance if u r 16 and where do u get it from??? thanx a lot mate

yea im 16. yea can be alot off money and the rs is the cheaper option i do think. my insurance was about 730 odd and that was with ebike insurance so wheter that is cheaper then u have found. it took me awhile i was quoted 1000 one point so its like fuk!! lol

alrite... welll considering u can get insurance on an rs50 for just 400 tpf&t i dnt see why the tzr shud b 700+... and im not 16 yet so i cant get a propa quote so i dnt no if it can be any cheaper th wat i get quoted lol...i hav though about buying a tzr that is not running and fix it up... only problem is they r still 1000+... but if i cud get a non runner for less thn 1000 id be happy... you got any ideas where to look because i havent had much luck on ebay and biketrader although im stil gona keep lukin on dere thnx mate

sorry mate i hav heard of stevenage but i dnt no whereabouts it is... i live in kidderminster which is in the west midlands nea birmingham.. lol u probz no where that is... how far away wud u say i live away?? i dnt fink it really matters how far i gota go for it..m8 hav u got msn lol cus it wud b alot quiker lol??

hey rich um the bike down here is 1550 it must off been 1800 so i thought of 800. :S dubnno. the other one i couldnt see so im cheacking again tomz. ill keep my oujt on ebay i mean i know there is one on theer for like 650 with 4 days left. i surf on the net still for ya.
