alrite everyone just joined the forum,and was wondering what is the best geared 50cc to buy once ive taken my c.b.t?

Welcome to the site mate!i take it you be 16, there shouldnt be any other reason to get a 50!lol well being as most decent geared 50's are really expensive, i would recomend you buy somthing relativly crappy and cheap at first!your probally gonna fall off it anyhow specially if its ya first bike! and then when you turn 17,with the money you have saved you could either get a half decent 125, or do your full test and get anything you want(standeraccess of course)!but if you are crazy and just wanna be the Fastest 50 in the world man! probally the Tzr50 a moto hispania R52 Asprilla RS50 Or my fave when i was 16 a Derbi Gpr 50.......Unless you want a trialy then ther are hundreds to choose from!get somthing cheap, have a laff and save!

Good luck with the CBT............but when you pass.............dont be one of them nobs who ride around in tshirt and shorts !!!!! Be sensible and wear the right gear..........it may only be a fifty..........but it still hurts when you come off !!!!

hello, choose the one that looks the prettiest lol...i would get something crappy for now, and wait till ur 17 to get something a bit more nicer, those apprila RS 125 i didnt no how quick they were untill i was following one doing atleast 95-100....amazing

welcome. i cant help with the 50's, never had one. but i agree that you shuld get a crapped out one fisrt till all the droppings out of your system then move up to something a bit nicer.

Hi, Welcome.
Most of the geared 50's seem to have the same engine, the Motor Minarelli AM6, so the rest is down to style, cost, price etc, but as said above, it don't matter what you ride, it still hurts if you come off! So wear some decent proper bike gear, no jeans, not T shirts and some proper boots and gloves.
Personally, I think the Super-motard or Crosser style bikes are best for 16 year olds, the upright riding position gives better visibility and control, and at 50cc speeds there is no real advantage to the aerodynamics of a full fairing, and you wont mess up a very expensive fairing the first time you drop it.
Accept that you will drop it, and learn from your experience.
But most of all, stay safe and enjoy.
Oh, and please don't post up telling us how yours is the fastest 50 ever in the world and it will take on any 125, because we've heard it all before, you won't get diss'd for riding a 50 at 16, but you will for posting stuff like that, as fastderbi has just found out.
