Try the cleaners in Queen Street Colchester. Just opposite the bus station. They do alterations and repairs to leather gear. Good service. I'm just having a zip replaced there after someone else recommended them.

im going to jump aboard here too. id like my suit adjusting to suite my less than muscly figure. i can get a suit that fits, size38. but i already have a pretty new suit that i like and would like it a lil bit smaller.

it's easy to do if you can work with leather. the dry cleaners sounds good, another alternative is to find somewhere that makes their own stuff and ask if they can adjust it.
Tori switched me on to Hideout in Haverhill, it might be worth checking there. Or seeing if there is anywhere else local?
As someone who knows their way round a sewing machine, it's not that different to stitching any other fabric in that you just need the right needles and machine etc.
Your suit will have seams and these will just need unpicking then re-stitching like any other item of clothing. But they might have to cut bits out if there is going to be a big adjustment otherwise it won't lie flat and will rub.
Any mistakes are a no-no because once you have put a hole through leather, you can't unpick the stitches without leaving the holes!
Just make sure you are happy that they have done something similar before and you know what they are going to try to do.
