...got a new computer, had to transfer all your files across, gotten rid of the old computer and then found that all of your freelance and portfolio work is now residing in a corrupted zip file that can't be opened?...

supposedly that can fix corrupt zip files, personnaly for file compression i much prefer to use WinRAR for much the same reason :)

Can be fixed, i think lateshift gave you the correct site..

If not just google it (Yes that is my answer to everything...along with Ebay)

I've tried downloading some zip repair freeware on reading Lateshift's post (cheers! :) ) but it hasn't worked... looks like I'll have to cough up some money to sort it if it's possible to sort.

its best to check the files BEFORE you get rid of the old computer...

quite honestly no!! computers are naff , they ALWAYS go wrong for me! ive got loads of pics on my old computer which i cant get off, some thing to do with the cdw drive not working or some thing!!!

HUmmmmmm in my experance of user support, it's normally the user that has the issues, not the computer :lol: :lol:

Hells if you cant get the pictures off due to a problem with the CD writer etc, then try another option like a USB stick or something, its eezy peezy as there is a shed load of ways to get stuff off the PC and onto some other form of media



Ping, how big is this zip file you are trying to repair, is it emailable (as in are you able to email a copy for me to have a go at, or is it full of porn stuff that a man of my age is likely to go blind (or grow hairy palms!) looking at? :D

I know Lateshift has kindly volunteered to help but if you are still stuck pm me and i'll try my best. I do some stuff like this as a part of my job.

Thanks for the offer of help guys. The files is 6.4mb... But I'd like to exhaust all my options before I hand it over to someone else. I'm quite touchy about anyone seeing works in progress. LOL ;)
