Now Im am new here so i could well be jumping to the wrong conclusions here.
I have not read every thread.
But from what I have read i asume that you mostly ride race rep bikes or as i call them crutche rockets.
Dont get me wrong if that is the style of bike you like then good for you.
If we all rode the same it would not be half the4 fun it is would it.
I am a 3rd generation biker & have been riding since 74.
I had a bad smash back in 2000 so this has now left me unable to ride long distances. In fact i have only just got back on a bike a couple of weeks ago.
right where is he going with this you may ask,
Do any of you go to rallies?
or is it just riding & racing you are into?
I go to about 35 rallies a year so if you want somewhere to go give me a shout & I will let you know what is happening & where.

Hello mate
welcome to the forum
the fact that we ride race rep's and talk about racing about etc is not meant to mean thats all we do altho it certainly seems that way at the moment! - personally i like bikes and like reading about bikes - i wouldnt say i was heavily into them, i was when i was younger, but not so much now. My bike is for a bit of evening and weekend fun - if i had a bit more time and money on my hands i would go to a few rallies but unfortunately at the moment other things such as work and bills have priority - hence my bike is for fun. Me n Dan ride about now and then like today we were riding about racing each other, then cruising about round the towns and country lanes - its what we enjoy when we have chance to get out on them. I suppose you are right in a way about the racing is all we do but thats your opinion
You are right - if everyone rode the same or similar bikes it wouldnt be any fun! - it doesnt matter what you ride as long as you enjoy it!
I think what you are tryin to say is that if we were propper bikers then we would be at the rallies etc or sumthing like that perhaps?
I wouldnt really call myself a biker - im a fair weather rider with a small jap sports bike that i hardly ride lol! but there you go - each to their own n stuff! :)

Hi Fingerz! I have just joined this site but am a regular on bikersweb - we have had this discussion in that site about what constitutes a real biker?! All I can say is if you love anything on 2 wheels - with the exception of scooters! (only kidding! ) then you are a biker in my opinion! I am a gal that rides a Suzuki SV650, but like racing; rallies; speedway - in fact all bike related sports! There are no rights and wrongs mate! Just enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy!......Soap box being put away as we speak! lol

Hey welcome to the site!!!
glad you think the same too - i wouldnt class meself as a biker really cos im mroe into cars - when i was 15-16 i was into bikes but could obly ride a moped lol until i crashed it n its taken me 7 years to get anotehr bike lol so im not realyl into them as much as before you could say!
but yeah i see what you are saying!
Tim :)P.S - where abouts are you in essex
Hi there fingerz/Tim! I'm in Benfleet hun - I'm a female sort that has her own two wheels and just loves to live! Ask Womble! he knows me from bikersweb! - where you at hun?

Good stuff - im romford! :)
have to all get together one day for a rie about - always say it n never do it - mind you my bike is in a state at the moment - ah well - one day eh?!
Tim
We should organise a ride out ya know..... shame Mark and Jay wouldnt be able to come all the way down, but we have a few locals now that I assume would be up for it....
Im also organising a track day down Snetterton or Donington Park later on this year by the way, and feedback from people ive spoken to already sounds like it could be a good turn out... even people from up north are up for the journey down!
As for the convo regarding different strokes, dofferent folkes (I must learn to stay on topic lol) I agree.... anyone with a bike (and agree.. a scooter is not included  ) is a biker... but I know the only bike that would intrerest me on the road is a sportsbike. I'd love to have a go at scrambling tho.... be and my brother were talking about this the other week - I read about this place somewhere that does days out scrambling, looks the nuts!
Anyway - welcome to the forum again TT.

hey womble
thats lookin pretty tidy for a GT550
most of them have been courrier ridden to death!
you gonna make it to the bulldog this year?
tark races so he woul dslaughter us all even on his teaser!!!
I think you would leave me on the straights and i would like to say i would be good round the corners but the suspension on the teaser and the fact cars will be on the other side of the road, (sometimes on our side!) puts me off a little!.
But yeah your right i would whip ya!
Mate, you'll have to come down to the track day when we get round to organising it.... i'll kick your ass!! Ok, maybe not.. but i'll try! hehe

Never done the Bulldog, they wont pay me to turn up lol
because i no longer work ( very dodgy leg knee ankle fall over a lot SOBER! )
I now days only go to rallies that I am playing at. I still get to around 25 rallies a year so im not complaining
Bike Used to belong to Hornets Couriers, which funny enough is who I used to work for.
It was one of the pool bikes & was used only when the riders bikes was being serviced.
has got 68 thou on the clock which is very low for a S reg GT
got a small dent in tank & a few scratches apart from that runs well always starts & sailed through the MOT.
Where you organising a track day at? If o can camp over i will come down with the CBR.
FingerZ!
21-07-2003, 11:11 PM
68k on the clock - spsoe that is low for a GT but any other bike would have been dead by now!!!!
i see whayt you mea bout the rallies tho - bulldog is expensive n far away too - might not make it meself yet - will have to see
tark - i know what you mean - you are probably used to the racing line and cant do that onthe road - thats kinda why im scared of bends i cant see round - i seem to end up goin straight on and im waiting for the day something comes the other way! :s
on the straights we would fly tho - specially cos we can overtake n it might be a bit difficult on the teaser

Not difficAULT ON ME 250 he he
I can still do it on the road but you have to pretend that your half of the road is the track. It means you cant go round as fast but use a smaller racing line if you know what i mean?? But cars crossing onto your side cutting corners is what could be a problem!!
also cars on the other side of the road are a problem if you shoot off at a death bend! lol
FingerZ!
22-07-2003, 06:38 PM
yes indeed dan n tark lol!
dan knows what im like lol!
lets all go to the bulldog bash in a few weeks!
get a few of us to convoy up there on thursday meet up with me cousins on their bikes! :D
