put petrol on the stick (just the end)
light the stick
put the sitck in the barrel (VERY QUICKLY)
run away than look up in the air for the stick

Potassium permanganate mixed with antifreeze is good for starting fires too if you stick it on cotton wool and then sprinkle sugar over it ;) (bit of a survival kit technique there ;) ) :D

Funny that, ive never been stuck out in the field with potassium permanganate, cotton wool and sugar??
I find the better survival technique is to carry three lighters, one in your pocket, one in your webbing and one in your bergan! 8)
Start a fire anywhere! :D

You heathen, you should be able to light a fire without one of them, what do you do when the gas runs out of the flint knackers? (bearing in mind that in a survival situation, you wont have your bergen or your webbing ;)
Dont dare tell me you would use TACBE and get Crab Air to drop something in for you either! ;) :D :D

You dont, you carry a bottle the size of a 35mm camera film, ready mixed with antifreeze in your survival rig, but PM used to come in tubs the size of a cotton reel, and its ued for all sorts from antisceptic to water purification ;)

Id get the AAC to come and pick me up rather then drop me in a lighter.
Why would you waste the weight of carrying PM, cotton wool and sugar around when you can just carry extra lighters or waterproof matches?
Although, some wire wool and the batterys from your torch can also start a fire, but again even carrying twenty lighters throughout your kit still wouldnt make much difference to the weight of your kit but you dont have to mess about with your chemistry kit :D

reading this made me smile, but theres too much editing, i wanna know how to make explosions and mortars and stuff.
the very first post reminded me of the time i nearly killed my self with explosives, but it was cool and made a big bang.
my friend had just visited a sprting goods store and got some starter caps for the guns that start races and such, we put some on the floor and was hitting them with hammer. he made one pop and it was soooo loud, so i had a god and made one pop. but along with being loud i got a nice piece of metel wedged in my face, it chipped the bone and bled like hell and was only a few mm under my eye. i was lucky.
