Hi All,

Well, after numerous conversations with the writers of this forum software, I have devided to bite the bullet and pay for vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com).

Its £82 quid - I really dont mind paying for this, but if any of you feel the need to contribute, it would be appreciated ;)
Once its up and running, anyone who can/does help out, i'll create some sort of high level member status that you will be part of or anything else you can think of.

I'm not posting this for money, I really do not mind if no one wants to/can help out pay for it so please done feel oblidged to do so... i'm just letting you know in case any of you have wadds of cash going spare ;)

Over the weekend the board will be offline at various points whilst I install it and import all the info from this board. Once its all done, i'll send out a mass email.

Vbulletin is a pretty straightforward set-up. it's the permissions you have to get right

I've bought the software, just installing and testing it now. Want to play with the import feature before it goes live so we dont loose any posts.

;) I'm trying to get it to email out notifications when replies are posted.... and its not working. I've emailed the VB support team, so we'll see what they say.

Quite a productive day today on here!

So far, i've
*sorted out Jays Mod-ship
* Added a load of smilies
* Lifted the number of images restriction in posts
* Added the steam room (you'll need to re ad yourself to the steam room group)
* Added the ranks
* Added Google Adsense.. see how it goes.

Any problems or suggestions, please let me know. I'm not gonna try and get a gallery up and running.... and i'd like to have a live chat thing somewhere, but we will see.

user cp - edit options - message editor interface, set to enhanced.
