Christ i feel lost! Finally got 'net at home so can actually get online without havin to go to the library but everythings changed! I dont recognise any of the names im reading. Is anyone i know still there??? *looks around hopefully*

Anyways, coz i didnt know anyone, figured hardly anyone'd know me so hello!

Simple facts. 20yrs old, From Romford, live with my fella, got a vfr400 nc24 (ALMOST sorted, its actually in my front garden as an incentive to sort it! lol) Trainee manager and delivery supervisor at a well known restuarant company. (who called the hut?) Lol, not very glamerous but twill do for now! Aspiring police officer, if only they were recruiting! Waiting for a call from the TA (logistics not recruiting till Jan) and pretty much stuck in a rut for the moment!

Just a quick one on the TA side of life, there is no such thing as them not recruiting, the TA are in crisis at the moment, if you cant get anything at Romford then try 36 Signal Regiment at Ilford, they have an RLC log unit there using DROPS trucks, but the Royal Signals employ drivers too amongst other more qualified trades ;)

went to the one at ilford coz the guy i saw at romford put me off a bit (mainly due to him tellin me i wouldnt fit in or pass the para test coz i was female!!!) so my mate lee whos in ilford TA took me down there but the guy i saw said (A) i need to pass my driving test and (B) they arent taking any new recruits till after xmas! I cant afford to get my driving lessons sorted till after xmas anyway!

I assume you are talking about B Squadron of the Royal Logistic Corps TA here ? ;)

The TA do not require you to have a licence to start with, nor do they refuse anyone on the grounds that they are not recruiting, especially a none specialist unit like that ;)

The Royal Signals on that camp are due to re-badge to Royal Engineers in the near future, but they are definitely worth a bell over the RLC in any case, at least they shouldnt fob you off.

36 at Ilford was my headquarters up until July 2004 and most of the people that are still there, i trained at some point or another :)

Ok well i finally got round to gettin a new battery in her, took me all day, and a set of jump leads to Ross' bike to get her started and brought her to my flat, she's now in the front garden coz walking past her every day to walk to work is like a kick in the teeth so its made me actually wanna sort it rather than leave her tucked up in mums garage where i never saw her. But now i cant afford to sort her out till after xmas. Only actually need a few bits and then its just tax, mot , insurance. My licence has 'matured' so i can legally ride any bike i want so its just a case of getting her on the road!
