tsx 250 1988

hi all just bought a suzuki ts 250 x 1988.ok ok enough of the jokes,i have just removed the engine for rebuild new rings gaskets etc.and the gearbox is iffy,does anyone know what else these engines are in ? dr ts125 etc ? and where can i buy second hand parts ie gearbox thanks all

If memory serves the engine itself was taken direct from the RM250 after they ditched the air cooled 2 stroke :)


(edit - a quick google confirms that in 1984 they changed from the original engine to the one from the RM, it would seem that they used the same engine at least from the latter end of 1984 all the way through to 1989)

So try looking around for engines from one of them and you may find something :)

thanks late shift.uim pulling my hair out as i need a 5 shift box or one that will work with my bike,its all standard im going to repaint the frame when the weather gets better,huh not for a while! so if anyone has an engine or box let me know thanks again for the reply
