Should all registered users have access to the GatheringZ and ride-outs forum and I scrap people having to request access?

i know its nice to have a privaye section but its only meetings and stuff its not like your disscussing stunt spots or any mid night m25 runs

I'm more worried about the odd few people who could well (im a worrier at heart) be looking to pinch a few bikes/parts etc...and with my luck so far with bikes, i really dont want to be risking it!

after all, ive had it nicked twice now..i think i should have a right to be worried!

Really cant see what the problem is here guys, it couldnt be simpler! :D

Go into UserCP at the top left of the forum options, from there scroll down the list and look for Group Memberships.

Head into Group memberships and in the main pane you will see what groups are available to join, one is registered users, the other is GatheringZ members.

Click the box for joining Gatheringz and then wait for Dan to activate it from there.


Now the reason why we dont want it left wide open is specifically so that people that have no intention of going on rides etc, cant see what we are doing, where we are going blah blah.

There are Police as you are probably aware browsing sites all over the place these days, we have had Police on here, the place has been advertised in Ride to start with so its not too difficult to log on to see whats going on, however they dont even need to do that anymore because the internet is riddled with spiders that do the work for them too, just gathering up info all the time.

If you are interested in it genuinely then whats the problem? is it that much of a hardship to have to look and click as a one off????
